The Southwest First Episode Psychosis Conference (SWFEP) was hosted by the South Southwest MHTTC Network from August 3-5th 2020. This three-day training event brought together early psychosis mental health providers, experts on first episode psychosis, and hundreds of participants attending virtually.

Initially planned as an in-personal regional event, the conference underwent a transformation to be completely virtual as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. This shift allowed for registration to be opened to all interest participants and attendance was free, resulting in 976 unique attendees from across the country.

A web-based survey was distributed by email to participants in the week following SWFEP with one-hundred and twelve participants responding. Questions were asked in regards to attendees’ general experience, satisfaction with the conference, networking opportunities, and other experiences. The outcomes of this survey are detailed in the Southwest First Episode Psychosis Conference Evaluation Report.
