Suicide Prevention

Although a holistic approach to suicide prevention is a best practice, the following resources are intended as additional programs and efforts to support overall school mental health. Increased training for teachers and students alike will help identify and encourage students at risk to seek help.

MY3
MY3 is an app that helps an individual define a network of support and to develop a plan to stay safe and connected when having thoughts of suicide.

Sources of Strength
Sources of Strength is one of the first suicide prevention programs that uses Peer Leaders to enhance protective factors associated with reducing suicide at the school population level. It is a universal suicide prevention program designed to build socioecological protective influences around youth and to reduce the likelihood that vulnerable youth/young adults will become suicidal.
