Research indicates that mindfulness therapy and practices are very effective in helping to reduce levels of stress and feelings of being overwhelmed. With this in mind, we are excited to present a mindfulness training series, Mindfulness Monday, for individuals working in high-stress situations or anyone looking to support their mental health and overall well-being by understanding and adopting mindfulness practices. This training will provide participants with a quick break and easy-to-use strategies that can help mitigate feelings of stress.
This training uses evidence-based practices from Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Dialectal Behavioral Therapy Evidence-based therapy and can provide people with a basic understanding of how this practice works.
Mindfulness Monday is a bi-weekly, 30-minute training. In the first session each month, participants will be introduced to a new mindful skill, building in sequence from the skill the month prior; while the second session each month is for practice only of that learned mindful skill. It is recommended that participants at minimum attend the first session of each month but is not mandatory. Feel free to attend any or all sessions that allow for your busy schedule.
